How did I even begin to fight back?

I knew I needed to do something, so I removed myself from the environment, putting myself in an uncomfortable situation. slowly engage with positive people even if the time was a few minutes being around my goddaughter (she was 4 yrs old at the time) helped, what a bundle of joy.
